Also I've overcome the initial soreness phase of weight lifting.

howwwwwwwwwwwwww? I really don't understand! I have read online stories of people overcoming DOMS within 2-4 weeks of weight training.

I've been doing it for years and still get muscle soreness regularly. Legs day yesterday and hard to walk today.

Congrats though lol.

when i did my 5x5, i had no soreness after 2 weeks aswell. now im doing a routine with a split of Mon-upper push/wed- lower body + core/fri upper body pull, but every single workout has completely different excersizes, and im doing 12 reps to failure, im sore literally all the time. its better if i do HIIT training tuesday/thursday but its still there.

in conclusion i think if you stick to a weekly regime it goes away because you are using the same muscle groups each time, and they become resistant to the stress. for better gains you need to do routines that cycle over 3-6 months, but also you are constantly in pain.

i did DB bulgarian split squats for the first time yesterday and ive just been silently groaning through putting my shoes on to go get breakfast.

Painted my new studio today. I've built a couple of absorbers, and tomorrow I'll build the basstraps and diffusers with a friend and measure the acoustics and then BOOM! I'm moving in!

First day back at work after a week of night shifts and a week off. There's no managers in and I've been detailed in an area with no work needing to be done and no other colleagues detailed here. Got a Colundi 6hr+ mp3 CD playing on the big stereo in the corner and now I'm just farting about on the net :watmm:

I've started seeing someone who's not emotionally unavailable.  :emotawesomepm9:

Me too! And she's nice to me for once!

I just made 24 pieces of spam musubi for a work potluck tomorrow. Ended up having to cook another full 3-cup batch of rice halfway thru the assembly tho.

After about 3 weeks of antibiotics treatment (and several blood and stool tests and x-rays) whatever bug I caught in Indonesia seems to be finally gone. Yay, can eat normally.

After almost a decade of casual searching, this morning I finally located a copy of MINDFUCKERS that I can actually afford.

Not the album, the book.

Later this summer when I have more free time I think I'm going to produce an audiobook of it, just because that's something that should exist.

I'm not a book collector or anything so I'm only after a handful of very specific, esoteric things (although if I happen to find something cool for cheap I grab it). In the last 12 years or so managed to track down underpriced copies of the Boo Hoo Bible, The Wizard of Op, Raymond Pettibon: The Books, Fletcher and Zenobia, and now Mindfuckers.  The only rare book left that I'd actually want to spend any sort of money on is I Seem To Be a Verb, but my hopes aren't high for ever finding an affordable copy of that

shii. hella keen to read this, I've been diving into Acid Dreams a lot recently.

Acid Dreams is great for the first 100 pages or so, all of the stuff based on their early access to all those declassified files.  Everything beyond that is more like cliff note versions of Electric Kool Aid Acid Test and a few other books - stuff anyone who is interested in that era probably already knows by the time they find out about Acid Dreams.  Still worth it though.

I also have one called The Guru Papers that I found in a box of discarded stuff a few years ago haven't opened yet that seems like it's thematically (if not intentionally or in style) a followup to Mindfuckers, so I'll have to actually read it finally when I'm done with Mindfuckers.

Actually, no promises because it will all be down to the binding and how sneaky I can be, but I DO technically have access to a local university's overhead book scanners, so if I can find the time and do it without getting kicked out for scanning an entire book (they don't like you doing that) I'll see if I can actually scan Mindfuckers and make a PDF.  But that won't be for a while if I can do it at all.

If you're in to this sort of stuff, you should also try to track down the movie Ticket To Heaven.  I haven't seen it since I caught it on daytime TV as a kid (which might be how I first started to develop my interest in cults actually) but I remember it being pretty good.

Found a new job finally! Graphic Design at one of the larger casinos around here, and then helping with some AV shit when I'm not busy with graphic stuff to fill out hours, most money I've been paid for a job to date. Also still managing to make my severance from my previous job last ?

oo thanks! I'll try and track down a copy:)

interesting, I don't really know much about the era other than info I've picked up on Hamiltons Pharmacopeia. all the biz on government testing/mindcontrol/truth serum is exciting to read haha.

I accidentally clicked the wrong thread but was able to hit the x in time to not actually visit that thread.
