A pair of explosions rocks the finish line at the Boston Marathon, injuring at least a half-dozen people.

The blasts happened at about 2:50 p.m. near the intersection of Boylston and Exeter streets. Store fronts have been blown out, and there have been reports of dozens of injuries.

 

Witnesses said several victims lost limbs, and the area was being evacuated.

 

The first explosion happened across from the Lenox Hotel and the second blast was about 15 seconds later, witnesses said.

CBS Producer just reported via phone that people are saying there has been a 3rd explosion, no official confirmation yet

3rd explosion is alleged to have been a controlled demolition done by police to destroy an unexploded device that was found.

Well, Aeser told me that they found a bomb in a restaurant that had not been detonated.

I've only seen stills of it, and then also people during the explosion, but not the explosion directly. A large amount of flame and white smoke from the initial explosion.
