BUT now I'm listening to it late at night with a fancy imported wheat beer on the go and the lights low, and it's actually very good indeed. The guy really knows his way round a melody. I was only a little bit late to the Pye Corner Party so I had to track down Volume two because it was the first and hardest to get. zupiclone Posted January 16, 2014 Share Posted January 16, 2014 i've got all the tapes and coloured vinyls now, just saying Black Mill Tapes, like i've always said are better imo than Sleep Games, more restrained, grittier, raw, less polished and not too dancefloor housey, he should stay this way. I find Legowelt now the same, gone off his work from the past 3-4 years mostly. The more up tempo tracks on vols 3 & 4 are the most immediate but a few of the other tracks are really starting to insinuate themselves into my brain (Theme Number Seven in particular) so I reckon the more chilled first disc will be a slow burner.
