joshuatxuk Posted May 23, 2013 Share Posted May 23, 2013 My day was made when I heard this announcement. Then the BoC video came out and my recent work related stress evaporated. Of all the "chillwave" press darlings in 2007 Washed Out has become my favorite. Memory Tapes was the best in the first wave of releases and his work is good but I haven't found it as engaging. Toro Y Moi has been consistent and enjoyable but never my favorite. I never cared for Neon Indian's first album I've warmed up to him a bit with his second album. Of that scene though, no one has matched Washed Out, who I think just gets better in his production techniques with each release, and I have high hopes for this album. Summer will be amazing.
