Jackson & His Computer Band - Glow

Redruth

Recommended Posts

"Jackson (a self-confessed Prince fan) will be presenting his new gems of polyphonic and futuristic electrofunk at Sónar by Day, with a previously unseen stage show in which he will be accompanied by his new Computer Band: a giant machine measuring 5x3 metres, covered with mirrors and consisting of four synthesizers/samplers which Jackson uses to control sound and lighting in real time. Jackson Fourgeaud was born in Paris to a French father and an American mother, and started out in the era of the French touch, but it quickly became clear that he was working in another dimension: experimenting in a cosmic and dystopian universe, far from the ground that other mortals walk on. That was how different and exciting "Smash", his acclaimed first album released on Warp sounded. It will finally have a sequel almost eight years later with two releases in 2013: an EP in May and a new LP due out in September."

I. G.I. Jane (Fill Me Up)

II. Vista (Hudson Mohawke Remix)

III. Vista

IV. G.I. Jane (Fill Me Up) (Jackson Auto Remix)

full LP in November, apparently

The US listing shows June 25, but I doubt if that's true since there's been no announcement from Warp and they already announced Clark's September release.

Edit: If this is the EP, it might make sense that it's out in late June.

Edit 2: Barnes & Noble and Best Buy both have a 4-track listing for November 4. So the Amazon Canada seems more accurate. Wonder if the LP will be out before year's end also.
