He needs to do a LP with Iggy Pop. That track on Good Times is a 10/10 classic. Though I guess sometimes it's best to leave some things as they are.

Is it normal for label owners to put out stuff on a different label? Is he banking on more exposure from being released on Warp?

Don't Dominic Fernow & Wolfgang Voigt put out loads of stuff on other labels? Not sure why label bosses do this though.

Seeing him perform material earlier this year, it was very experimental, sort of a synth / sound based progression to replica and music for reliquary house. Was sort of hoping this wouldn't be the direction of his new stuff, but will still get it and give it a whole number of listens regardless.

however the new record is a major departure from previous work. Lopatin’s experimental inclinations lurk behind the scenes - in the concepts and procedures he adopts to create the tracks - while the music itself comes as close as Lopatin has ever gotten to anything resembling traditional song structure.
