Well, I picked up a $0.99 VHS copy of "The Blair Witch Project" in the bargain bin around 2005. My wife said "wasn't this a true story with real footage?" I couldn't believe my luck and almost blew it because I knew how much potential it had. "Why yes, let's watch it!". So, the chick starts snotting and I'msooooscared'ing towards the end and my wife became upset and cried herself. This made me feel badly so I paused it and broke it to her about it being fake and just a movie. We finished it and she went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I quietly got up and stood in the corner of the living room like Mike did and when she came in, she screamed and cried. As I came up to apologize, she threw the entirety of that ice water on me so I got mine in the end.

Brilliant! You know Blair Witch is my favorite movie ...

This really reminds me if a stunt my brothers pulled on me once which involved a "ghost", a wire, a Lego motor and some spooky recordings on a tape recorder. I won't bore you with the details.

This guy is an asshole and his girlfriend is probably really fucking dumb.

She scared the shit out of my cat just now though, lol

Ugh, literally, too. Brb, Clorox time.

I've seen these kinds of mannequins in stores in Asia. WTF? They're super creepy.

My ex was afraid of frogs so when the Cat brought them back to the house I'd throw it on him and make him freak out and scream. I'd then hold him close, give his balls a little squeeze and say "don't worry babe, I'll save you from the tiny amphibian".

I may have made that last bit up

I don't understand people who are afraid of frogs. They're like the most non-threatening vertebrates. Even a mouse can bite you but what is a frog going to do? Lick you? But when I pick them off the ground my friends go around screaming like little girls.

i have a friend with a pretty serious phobia of cotton balls. for the longest time I thought he had to be full of shit or something but after googling it I discovered that its not that uncommon so I stopped terrorizing him by occasionaly rubbing cotton balls together in front of him. he would hyperventilate

There was a girl in my high school with cuprolaminophobia -- fear of coins -- and I was all like "I get it, mang, coins are pretty filthy" and she was all like "NO THAT'S NOT IT AT ALL I AM NOT AFRAID OF GERMS AHHHH A COIN" and then she declined my invitation to the prom.
