Lonelymachines cannot be right because they reviewed Exai's cloudline badly. cloudline is a standout of Exai. Perfect funk like rew(1) on moveoften

Comparing cloudline to rew(1)? Perhaps you've got a version of Exai where the sides are mixed up?

I feel the comparison too, they both have the same sort of discomforting groove, remind me of the intentionally non-metric album of the italian band Sinistri

Ha... No, both represent Ae funk to me. Funky and relaxed.

I thought the last sentence in The Skinny review was really apt and accurate. just a pity in my excitement last week when this dropped I had recommended everyone I know (regardless of musical taste) check this out as the hottest shit in town.

Osla for n is an interesting one. It feels like it should go into epic beast mode about 3-5 mins in. I still like the path it takes though.

The pitchfork review had good phrases here and there. Still, it feels like a surface level examination, as always.

pitchfork truly is a joke. and in this particular case that is abundantly obvious. the review itself is nonsensical and helpless, and the 6.4 (D) rating finds no context in the body of the text. it's just half-baked, poseur "journalism."

blah blah blah, 6.4
