You know like royalty free shit - but I prefer well know artists, ie; Beatles, wacko jacko - fucking you knows what I mean. If you really, really, want to isolate vocals you can do so by finding an instrumental version of the song (often via karoke versions or instrumental bootlegs made from the video game Rockband, etc) and there's plenty of tutorials on how to do that. Plenty of electronic and hip-hop producers in the past EQ'd and filtered samples successfully with basic samples before the convenience of the internet.
