here's some of the mind map data as text, just the music acts AE either namechecked or acknowledged in the positive in some way.... future nitpickers, i'm well aware of all structural inconsistencies, redundancies etc. - consider it raw data to fix as you like

Yo where the fuck is uterus dawg

yeah i'm gonna try to put this in a spreadsheet soon so keep posting additions and corrections and if you could, link to the source post from the original thread so i can quote from it directly. the idea is for each entry in the spreadsheet to have a comment or note attached that contains the original source text from wherever the thing was mentioned. make the thread interactive a little bit... actually tell me now if this is stupid or crazy or better done as a website so i can stop :wtf:

*bump*

oh yeah, prolly should have mentioned: i mashed a couple o tracks together into one file, yes.

ok, last attempt b4 i gtg to bed. it's like 5 snippets in 3 minutes or so, if it's too bothersome i'd be reeeeeeealllyy grateful if you'd at least check out the first tune, ever since you played it on that radio programme i've been trying to track it down, in vain D: ... anyway, thanks alot for doing this, tis been a ride, already looking forward to wading through the rest tomorrow.

the 'chre <3 <3 (_O_) <3

@JOHN: do you indeed recognize track 4 maybe?

also: the way they wrote about at least pondering the possibility of releasing a 2010 bootleg really got my hopes up, too XP

He said some new beat was good tho. But he considered it mostly bad. Maybe he could be referring to the overly commercial stuff, some of it was pretty awful and just destroyed the genre.

Maybe it would be fun to add everything they were negative about in red

I think the software automatically removed words that it didn't understand. Nevermind.

hah i like the red and green idea.

yeah see the trouble is these lists are actually not meant to be lists, they're taken from this mind map i made where each entry has clickable info and quotes about whatever is referenced.. re: the newbeat and italo thing. not very consistent between the way i catalogued music and movies, to be sure. but it's a rough draft, the spreadsheet i'm working on should be better about all that.

also thinking of expanding it to include not only stuff from this interview, but any public airing of their music tastes, ie. radio mix tracklists, other interviews. maybe it would be better as a wiki? or someone else could use the spreadsheet data to make something nicer.

I don't get it... why are you doing all those lists?

I don't get it either. It's like mount everest; it was there. I wanted a list of the music they check and started grabbing everything because it was there. Maybe it'll be useful to someone else too.

way to go, incredible.

they dont like italo disco, they made that pretty clear, i think everyone should know that before they think autechre approves of your silly ironic trends.
