  1. 1. Should WATMM Have a Venetian Snares Subforum?

Recommended Posts

Long ago, there were calls for a Venetian Snares subforum, and one was set up, and then promptly removed at the request of Snares himself - you can read the reasons why here.

Time has passed, WATMM has changed and evolved, and Snares continues to divide fans and critics alike with his unique take on electronic music, but no one can deny he is one of the most prolific electronic music artists of the past decade.

So, let's see what WATMM thinks of having a Snares subforum again - depending on the results of the vote (and if Snares is up for it), we may insititue a subforum so people can have a dedicated spot to discuss and debate his music.

yes.. + warp, raster noton, skam, ninja, ghostly, etc.. labels that get a good amount of talk here and have consistent release schedule

well either way itd be great if the same threads could be on multiple subfora (eg make a thread bout new album of luke vibert in the N&U R forum and you also see it in his subforum)

Why not a planet-µ forum?

Don't they have one at their label site? :emotawesomepm9:

He obviously doesn't want that, so let's not.

Well, that was 4 years ago - who knows what he thinks about WATMM now.

Yeh, true point JR.

Not getting the cylob forum joke, though.

There was a cylob forum and Joyrex had an RSS feed going. A drunken Cyblorb decided that he would write a drunken message to watmm on his website and let it go through the RSS feed.

Something about Joyrex should make his own web content. apparently didn't like the rss feed =(

So there is no more cyglbrob forum

I like snares and his tunes but don't know if he warrants a whole subforum. I would be a positive contributor though if it did arrive.

A general planet mu forum makes more sense, merge it with u-ziq and call it a day.

Let's have a BILLION subforums!

well yeah the rephlex sub seems lonely.

I was always for Rephlex because it nicely rounds out the remaining artists affiliated with the featured artists and IDM/Braindance in general. It's quiet but it's a helpful way to pinpoint those threads. Not to mention it's a bit more mysterious and confusing (catalog #s, aliases, etc) than say Planet Mu, Warp, etc.
