No idea if y'all have seen this, from the LP art

some interesting bits on that gear list.. who can decode the braille in the middle?

its not braille, the dots signify what piece of equipment was used on what song!

It was the same with TH last year.

I enjoyed TH immensely (and will love syro too) but I understand the feel people got then, and are getting now of there not being a "game change".

It's just expectations, a very human thing to do.

TH is a musicwork of genius, nothing so far came closer to that I was expereincing listening to Reach For The Dead, JC,Telepath and others for the first time

Also, it seems a couple of listed instruments aren't actually used on any tracks?

And he used the shit out of 'Sound Devices 722,' so, what the fuck is that?

speaking of, it's a bit weird there's no roland tb-303 or yamaha gx-1 listed on there... i swear i heard a 303 line in minipops

Wasn't this introduced as a 'disinfographic' by the TDR?

I'd take the whole thing with a pinch of salt, personally.

do you think watmm can reach 1000 members online on release day?

It was inaccessible for me yesterday for about an hour after minipops came out, and that was just at 764 members at once (new record guys!). So, I kind of hope release day isn't any worse than yesterday because WATMM will be useless if that happens.

The Sound Devices 722 is a hard disk recorder. Allows him to record without having to be connected to the computer.

I might talk to the hosting company and see about upping the ante on capacity...

my favorite boards of canada tracks are the sad ones

tracks like oirectine and slow this bird down which can evoke feelings of being lost, helplessness or depression ..

sick times

uh, i love palace posy. jacquard causeway

i don't like to discuss things i truly love online, like boc or twin peaks. in my opinion, the most vocal TH detractors are twats. attention seeking, cynical twats.

It was said in the Lolling Stone interview that Syro is Richards way of drawing a line under all the older works, clearing the decks as it were.

Kinda glad this album will be a bit of a retrospective and slightly more accessible... Gotta get the casual fans and the media on board if you want a positive comeback.

Plus... Noise album next, plz

I'm awful at this kind of thing, and I apologize for the poor quality, but until someone can do a better job:

One of the items on the list is the insanely vague "Modular systems/Eurorack", which could be referencing hundreds of different modules by dozens of different manufacturers right there, including several that sound rather TB-303-like.

Hi'

yep, present and accounted for, lol

funny because I love Oirectine but very little of TH, go figure. I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to discuss personal music, for me the best BoC is extremely personal to a degree I don't experience often with other artists, for example, I have only listened to 5-9-78 a few times because I don't want to spoil the effect it has on me. Which is something I've never done for any other piece of music.

But TH is still a wannabe-epic mess.

anyhow, back to aphex

An easter egg on the gear list:

The list is a bit trollsy at times, with incorrect/backwards gear names.

I'm going through the list, it's a bit trollsy at times, with incorrect/backwards gear names.

I don't so actually, it all looks legitimate. Some of the names you think are incorrect are probably modified things, or different versions of things. Eg Midimoog instead of Minimoog is the Studio Electronics Midimoog: http://www.vintagesynth.com/misc/midimoog.php
