Hey Joyrex, maybe you could give us a date as to when your planing on giving us some big news...

:rtfm: Can we add a 'thou shalt not hype unnecessarily' to the rules? I feel it's implied anyway but still...

hehe. Too bad he also mentioned that there's a chance it won't be a thing, whatever it is.

A few emails the other day bolstered my resolve that this will most likely happen, so stay tuned! Still in the planning stages, so sorry I can't share anything at the moment. Hopefully I'll have something to say by Monday - who knows though.

All I can say is yay! (I'll continue to speculate but in my own head for now.. I think we have pretty much covered all possibilities 100x over) *cough archives...*

Some weird stuff I've recently discovered. Can't find the first one anywhere.

http://www.discogs.com/Not-Aphex-Twin-4-More-Mixes-For-Cash-Cause-Me-Ex-Took-All-The-Money/master/439895

http://www.discogs.com/Various-Techno-Nations-3/release/64327 (Track called Analogue Bubblebath 4.2)

The first one is obviously not Aphex Twin but I want to hear it.

i own the second one, it's a compilation of rave music and features an afx track, like the titles say from the analogue bubblebatch series. don't know how it's called on the original release though?

I finally got my vinyl today. The courier just leaned it against the door. Cool. Thank god nobody read the vinyl sized signs called Bleep, London correctly.

I was about to say that it definitely sounds different from the MP3, and that unfortunately that deep wobbling sound at 3:43 in s950 lost a bit of its power, but relistening to the MP3 now, I'm not so sure anymore.

By the way, I just peeled that sticker from the plastic packaging off and put it on the sleeve. Looks fantastic, just like it's supposed to and no sticker wasted.

An officially released track from 1995 that I have never heard of? That's a nice surprise! Now I just have to find it...

If it's this track, then it is also released on Analogue Bubblebath 4 (the third track on my CD).

Sorry for perpetuating the off topic!

im still feeling pretty content with syro, to say the least

also that japanese bonus track, i think it probably is one of the better ones. great track (at first listen i didnt really like it though)

i dont know what the thing JR alludes to could be if it isn't music, that could compete with syro or the kickstarter in terms of excitement levels

I'm surprised that I haven't listened to it on headphones yet.

I listen to it about 3 times a day and don't get sick of it. Mostly in my car. It's become a ritual. I turn on the car and put it on. I've been driving a lot in the past week and I just play it and go off into that world.

I'm guessing whatever the announcement is, it will be disappointing due to the hyping.

I'm already gathering torches and pitckforks. Get your torches and pitchforks here! The are pitchforks made of the finest quality and have a rating of 8.9 (Best new farming tool). Torches are pre-dipped in the finest oils and will light up at the slightest spark of anger, hatred, fury, misery, outrage and discomforted irritation caused by feelings of disillusioned fanboy hissy fit annoyances.

Joyrex told us the Analogue Bubblebath 4.2 which mean AB4 track 2 but for the first pressings of AB4, track 2 & track 3 are inversed... ;-)

i kept my head down and avoided 99% of the press and reaction to this album. had my first listen last night. terrible. don't know how to explain it. just an hour of shuffling drums (+ bit o piano). hadn't waited for it, didn't get excited by it's arrival. just knew i would buy it. can't see what charm or mystery there is in it.
