only thing i like about this/something similar is that one time some buddhist monks came to my college and made a mandala which is apparently destroyed afterwards, because the point is in the creation/creative act of it rather than preserving it or something? It sounds like some ancient version of cryptowen deleting the projects/high quality wavs of his songs and just keeping a <= 128 kbps mp3 of it
