DJ Stabbed & Left For Dead would be a nice DJ name.

In the past Deadmau5 has always struck me as an ass, but usually for superficial comments and stunts of his. This was a really nice and heartfelt gesture on his part, so I'm glad to say I'll think differently of him in the future.

He wrote some of the old presets for image-line synths, I've never thought if him as a dick tbh..

Funny mask but it made dollars didn't it

Case of blame the game not the player?

Yeah, must of his music stinks but I've always thought he's a chillout dude. I respect him for that.

RDJ would never do that, lel.

I always liked his attitude. I think he's the only high profile DJ with an actual personality, even if he's an ass sometimes. DJs look like they are all clones in this fantasy world where all is happiness and #positivity and #highenergy and shit.

nice of him to do.

wish his music was as nice as he is.

i was thinking that that's what flying lotus should have named that album, Flying Locus - You're stabbed and left for dead, exclamation mark. But i didn't want to go there, thanks for opening the can of worms, very kind of you. ;-]

All the best to DJ stabbed and left for dead too, btw.

You know, that's true, he is a distinctive personality in EDM. His music isn't so much though...(I think I'm like the 5th person to type that)

this might come off as dickish, but i kinda feel like, if you're rich and you wanna do something like this solely to be a good guy and help someone out, you'd do it anonymously

Color me unimpressed, I still think he's an ass.

It's a good thing Campbell survived. That's why I'm generally not trusting of strangers in public - they're too unpredictable. Unless I know them, I won't give rides, nor take them if they're not taxis.

I withhold any opinion of XXmau5, other than that was a kind gesture.

In most parts of Europe you can drive wtih strangers without beeing afraid of such events

you cant wander round life being afraid of getting stabbed by strangers, even if it occasionally happens. having said that hitchiking in the UK literally doesnt exist any more, ive not heard of anyone of my generation giving or taking lifts off random people in the street

A millionaire producer sends a couple of grands worth of gear to some guy in need he just heard about and gets publicity and PR. Call me cynical but I'm pretty unimpressed.

I'm usually pretty trusting towards strangers. Might share a hotel room with a guy I just met in a train or something. IDK, nothing bad has happened yet.

Indeed... every time a celebrity goes public about some "good action", it's always to get admiration in return. The best actions that were accomplished by big time celebrities during their lifetime are those discovered after their death. Like, oh my god, he did that and never bragged about it? Wow. With that said, the DJ in question must have appreciated Deadmau5's gesture, I mean, who wouldn't? It's still a nice gift, no matter who gave it and why.

Glad to hear DJ Stabbed & Left For Dead made it out okay. Couldn't care less about teammau5's PR stunt.

I once met a dude who had been stabbed and left for dead a week before, showed some nasty scars. I gave him a bit of coke. Where's my news story and twitter post?

I usually cycle to work along the Bath Road from my house to Royal Mail (about 3 miles). If I find a puncture on my bike when I get up, I leave it in the garage and I walk down the Bath Road, and always someone I know who I work with willl stop to pick me up as it's a main route between Maidenhead and Slough. The other day in the dark morning some random geezer stopped his car and offered me a lift (he probably saw my Royal Mail jacket) and I just got in and had a chat and he dropped me off. Pretty random, but life affirming. He helped me and I trusted him. Cool. He was also a Somalian muslim. Hahah, I escaped without a scratch and he didn't eat my brains for breakfast. I like stuff like that.
