That 3rd Armpit makes me wonder who it is at least. Sounds pretty old, and some are quite good... the others, not so much.

I've heard that 3rd Armpit is th'idiot's friend.

All of this has made me relisten to some of rdjs older already available stuff some more

Listen to this

How can you not love this

You are awesome rdj.

oooh, a wee bit of thievery, heh. this is one for the older heids...featuring a nascent :pedobear:

(sorry if jazz)

won't embed ffs oh well...it's the end credits of TV show Rainbow, from the 70s

Start at 1:01 ;)

In an old FM interview - one with Phillip Glass - I'm sure he mentions he's done some jungly stuff (before HAB dropped) and a bunch of remixed kids tv themes, always thought MFM was related so not thievery, just a remix :P

just wanted to second this sentiment. at 64 tracks we're at what? 5-6 albums worth of material i would have probably paid $21.99 for each. i mean, that's a significant chunk of change for me. like, it would be irresponsible and indulgent for me to buy all that.

i'd love to hear what warp thinks of all this. this is tons of money that isn't going to them and is staying with fans. it's an AFX STIMULUS PACKAGE!

You know, just wanted to take a second and appreciate how incredibly generous this is. After such an incredible drought of music (that we know of, at any rate), it's truly mindblowing that Rich has decided to open the floodgates and give us a peek inside the vault. It's even a bigger treat to hear the various versions/stages/developments of tracks - some of these kind of feel like sketches, some of them feel more like fully fleshed tunes. It's like getting a chance to look at the private journals of Keats or something. Absolutely fascinating - not to mention it's like offering a man who has been dying of thirst for a decade an entire lake to imbibe - my belly's gonna burst!

Three fucking cheers for the man. Fucking AWESOME.

What's very interesting is he chose to release all this at the same time CCAI EP came out... I'm not sure if this is going to hurt or help sales...

I almost wished he had released it all via Bandcamp so we could pay our own price or buy it for a set fee...

Perhaps that will be the ultimate conclusion.

Using soundcloud allows him to upload them on a track-by-track basis and provides a medium for detailed comment interaction & stats. on the listener side it has us breaking F5 and eagerly waiting for the next wave, wondering what will come next and when it will inevitably end [sad thought]. The same couldn't be said if he just threw them all on bandcamp in one fell swoop and it would have required him to already do the sifting of what we believe to be 400+ files. I'm inclined to think, as suggested earlier, he's going through them and being somewhat selective with what he publishes and in what order.

Fork Rave

DroneBReak, sorry :)

aye, Tape Track 14. much longer version too.

sounds like a very early attempt at a Steinvord type ambient jungle track. amazing to think its 25 yrs old.

these seem like more afx accounts to my ears. all cross commented etc

jesus christ dude you need to be a lot more skeptical.

we're only excited about this main user48736353001 user because we have incontrovertible proof in the form of previously heard live tracks and peel sessions and joyrex tape tracks now being uploaded in digital quality. And Mike Paradinas confirmation etc.

there's 100s of people trying to pass themselves off as secret afx any month of the year - and now there will be loads more.

3rd-armpit is following th'idiot and no-one else so is very likely to be th'idiot or one of his mates (th'idiot was/is a watmmer)

koanotic is me

chomskymix is also by me, years ago

dunno who clax whatever is but basically: don't assume anyone is afx unlress you have _very_ good evidence because every laptop kiddy is currently going to uploading stuff and trying to be mysterious
