that's actually really cool. they pass this closely only once every 400 years. but the last time they did they were harder to see, so the last time this was visible was 800 years ago. the fact that it's happening on a solstice... dramatically increases the rarity.

the gravitational waves will align. we will have rare access to occult powers. focus on positive things.

Researchers from Penn State University are examining a signal that was detected by a radio telescope pointed at Proxima Centauri. It is the Milky Way's neighbouring small star and is part of the Alpha Centauri. The radio signal was originally picked up in April and May 2019. In an interaction with The New York Times, Sofia Sheikh, a graduate from Penn State, and the lead author of the study, stated that the signal is some sort of technological signal, but the question is whether it is Earth tech or from somewhere else.

New research published in Astronomy & Astrophysics describes a potentially new kind of star, one born in an event typically associated with destruction rather than creation: the merger of two white dwarfs. The paper, co-authored by astronomer Lidia Oskinova from the University of Potsdam, adds to our understanding of this system, called IRAS 00500+6713, which caught the attention of astronomers back in 2019.
