I don't see protesters. I see a bunch of kids raised on social media pressured by trends, followers, if they were really engaged we'd have Mr Sanders as the democratic nominee but the youth never really cared and they still don't care despite outward appearances.

Are you seriously saying burning and breaking shit, facepalm emojis and being a little babby is way less effective at making Bernie Sanders president than voting is? But that means you have to take 30 seconds to fill out a form online and then go to a building to fill in a circle on a piece of paper!

Check your privilege, bootlicking scum.

of course a motion doesn't mean it's going to actually happen but hopefully this will happen across the country.

I love the people on that twitter thread calling for the entire defunding of the LAPD. They should definitely do that.

Also, voting is entirely responsible for putting the councillor who initiated the motion in place.

you’re right. that councilor wouldn’t have been born if not for some people having sex too. and thank god for the extinction of the dinosaurs, probably wouldn’t be any humans at all if that hadn’t happened. don’t even get me started on how thankful i am every day for them original multicellular bros, big shout out to them

don’t be a cunt, call a duck a duck if it’s a duck: protests shed light on proposing this, Martinez said in their statement that that notion that may actually get people to speak to their local council persons about it, and hopefully will increase further local voting.

I mean all the protests in the world aren’t going to do a damn thing if you have the local equivalent of Trump in place.
so let’s compromise? Voting is important, and so is exercising your right to protest?

martial law is coming

this whole corona/social distancing/ forced to wearing masks/ tracking people on their cellphone to make sure they respect social distancing/ protest/ destruction/ bring in the army to control the situation/ civil war/ state coup?

this looks like the beginning of China social credit system

not only is martial law coming but it's now illegal to be against fascism apparently and it makes you a terrorist? very bad times to come.  on social media i've seen some dumbasses call protestors wearing too much black being called "antifa insurgents" absolutely absurd how stupid the populace is

i mean, yeah, duh. there's really no compromise there, that's just...reality. vote. protest if you need. America has been very weak on voting, particularly in local elections. one reinforces the other, we need to get better on the voting part. energy from protests can hopefully feed into the coming elections.

also, yes, 100% fuck Carlson. he's a vile little shit.

I knew it was bad, but I did a quick google and man, it's really bad at the municipal level. Like shockingly bad.
