How does the World view America these days?

its very hilarious that you think its appropriate to make lifestyle suggestions to people and dismiss their claims outright because they used the "fuck" word.  i have no intentions of moving to another country and it has nothing to do with literally anything mentioned in this thread because who am I? nobody. so your argument is inherently ad hominem if you're bringing my identity into the discussion, and as such it's YOUR argument that can be dismissed

I'm not dismissing your claim because you use the phrase "fuck America" ad nauseum, in fact I'm not dismissing your claim at all. America does have issues, and that's without dispute. I'm simply saying that because you view America as this all-powerful, world-eating Galactus, actually living in the world may provide more context to America's treatment of its citizens. It has nothing to do with your identity, so not sure where you got that from.

Why would I go live in the Gaza Strip? I don't support Israel's actions there at all. Whereas you seem to be very supportive of say China's government.

countering western new cold war anti-china narratives doesnt mean i want to move there, it would probably be miserable considering i dont speak chinese and know nobody there, your suggestions are meaningless and i wont even respond to them anymore

It would be cool if that was all you did, but you're constantly espousing the Chinese government as some paragon of virtue just looking after their citizens.

interesting twist on the world of chips, taiwan and china and america and apple and cars and intel..

basically chips are national security issue now and if china invades taiwan USA will have to step in to protect them like we did for oil in kuwait or whatever the fuck that was about. anyway.. it's an interesting situation.

in comparison to the US and its capitalist client states all around the world, they clearly are if you look at the quality of life statistics

From the Marxist thought thread:

Quote

the typical chinese person doesnt give a shit about whether they can go to bandcamp, they want food water shelter and education

And I don’t know which quality of life statistics you’re referencing but the OECD and World Bank have the US well ahead of China.

*clears throat*

the oecd and world bank are hardly unbiased sources, they’re funded by capitalist scum and clearly use capitalist metrics

etc etc

do you have any idea what youre saying when you say it? no shit the US has higher quality of living standards than China, the US is the center of the global imperial core and syphons resources off the rest of the world through colonization and deep exploitation of workers in colonial regions.  im getting so bored of this

why do you keep judging countries by only what happens within them? i don't care if the US is a fucking utopia for its own citizens, which it's not, it's the externalities that matter, it's the global capitalist order it not only benefits from but upholds that matters

youre really gonna try to make a marxist thread and post in it and not even know about imperialism and the artificiality of state borders under capitalism because of capitalist globalization

i don't see how repeating fuck amerikkkkkkkkkkkkkkka all day long contributes to anything aside from polluting this forum with even more political bullshit, just in case there wasn't enough already, thanks to you.

why don't you take action for a change? instead of whining on a fucking forum dedicated to electronic music.

for examples see Cuba/fidel castro/latin america generally... it's arguable that WTO/World Bank etc follow agendas of the nations that control them.. not always but often one country or another can put a thumb on the scales to help decide who and who doesn't get loans for development etc.

yeah my bad, i meant aside from polluting this forum repeating idiotic shit like fuck amerikkka all day long. i'm also fucking tired of how the spectre of communism is haunting this forum because of you but that's a different topic.

my point is if you're seriously unhappy with how your country treats human beings, no one forces you to live there. unless your asd prevents you from moving to a different country, you're free to go anytime you want - covid crisis aside. you're free to live according to your principles, that's what adults do on a daily basis (i don't because i don't act like an adult but that's not the point). are you an an adult? or are you some kind of teenager who thinks he's completely powerless? you're unhappy with how things are? you can change your own situation for a start. just saying.

this cult of individualism is a uniquely western trait and completely ignores systemic issues which affect people other than oneself

you and others have constructed a narrative that I hate america because of the life it provides for me within it.  this is probably projection on your part and indicative of a lack of mental altruistic capacity.  i want capitalism imperialism private property and money abolished to achieve global communism, and in terms of raw privilege for myself my quality of life will decrease afterwords.  this may be hard to comprehend, but my political beliefs are on some level decorrelated from those required for my own wellbeing and instead correlated to the needs of the people.  this is the nature of communism and class consciousness. the western cult of individualism prevents class consciousness and inculcates these regressive ideas into the general populace

nothing to do with a cult, it's called taking your destiny into your own hands and taking responsibility. what else are you gonna do? you're more ambitious than this, is that right? you wanna make an impact and change the world? well good luck with that. you're off to a good start posting on an idm forum. the revolution has never looked more promising. you're this close from achieving socialism imo. keep up the good work.

socialism is not achieved by an individual.  this strong man theory needs to be rooted in material analysis of the masses.  im well aware that i can and should be doing more.  as should you.  youre posting garbage on an idm forum too

also it's very inappropriate to bring up peoples specific neurological architectures as an attempted explanation for their ideological belief systems.  in fact it borders on lingual violence and is in fact beyond ad hominem.  very pathetic.  im not sure why exactly you would think asd prevents someone from moving.  ive moved many times.  very ableist behavior and frankly shameful

you're completely mistaken if you think i didn't get that. i know that you're a privileged person, that you're aware of it, and that you're happy with how amerikkka treats you personally. that doesn't change a thing to the fact that if you're unhappy with how the us treats the rest of the world, no one forces you to be in this hypocritical situation where you hate daddy because he's a terrible human being but you're very happy with how he treats you on a personal level.

all i'm saying is you can live a life free of this type of hypocrisy by just moving to a different country. it's not gonna help anyone except you, which is exactly my point. think of what you can do for yourself first, and once your situation is more in tune with your values and principles, see what you can do for others. not the other way around, it just doesn't work that way.

imo.
