I realise that the US has bigger problems than what I'm about to mention, but I'm listening to a podcast and my oh my... only Americans can butcher a foreign language like they do.

Lol: “I know my people … I’m not from here.”

WTF. Apparently he was fired though (but was he rehired just down the road?)

For some places in the states that makes for a good job application video.

I'll start by saying that I really wish I spoke another language, but I don't. I, and a lot of other Americans, grew up in a very rural area thousands of miles from any country that speaks another language.  We had to take foreign language in high school, but only for 4 years.

It's just not prioritized here for a lot of reasons (not as necessary, ego, you can get by with english in a lot of other countries, etc.), but I wish it was.

Or maybe "Chri$tian" was intentional?

nah, that would require too much brain power. I have a hunch that behind that door the sweet sounds of fox news are blaring wildly, instructing the denizens that inhabit that domicile to fear all that does not look and act like they do.

There's no winning with right-wing evangelical Christian types. If they met Jesus IRL, they just be like "get a job ya long-haired soyboy communist" or "get a haircut ya dirty hippie". The irony is that the majority of us agnostics would get along better with Jesus than all those Red-state reactionary zealots who claim that they're devout to him. Jesus overall just seemed like a pretty chill dude who only wanted to help people.

We're also at page 420. I know Jesus would be more than happy to pass one around.

that's why they're rewriting jesus into a type of rambo guy who "made his enemy's blood boil with his mere presence".. and shit like that.  no shit.. they tweak the bible stories all the time especially in the kid editions and bible study type environments.

warrior king.. warrior jesus

What is up with the happy display of that "okie-dokie" hand gesture in that Felatio Blow video? Hasn't that been reappropriated as a "white power" symbol or something? Ick.

Not sure how I feel about this one. There seems to be a certain satisfaction to this movie but it also makes me uneasy.
