I did not immediately care for the snare. It got the job done, but felt tonally out of place. Every other element in the track has a jaunty bounce to it, whereas the snare felt purely utilitarian. Of course, replacing that sample with some synthesizer squawk may have defeated the purpose of the thing by erasing any sense of rhythmic contrast. Further listens may be required, and in any case, it ceased to be an issue once the piece began to build itself up.


Good listen. Manages to capture a unique vibe with its spartan structure and running time.
