way too gimmicky for my tastes. It's really reaching for the skrillex/deadmau5 crowd with that vid...

Hope the rest of the album is better...

Agreed - it's almost as if he's going for the DeadMau5 theme with the masks... nothing wrong with that, but not as original, IMO.

And really, what's the point? It's just a little "showy" for me. Still think the album will be a banger with the exception of rayc fire.

Edit: maybe it's actually a functional mask. His live shows the last few years have been super flashy maybe the lights are hurting his eyes or something and he can't see what he's doing lol.

damn Warp should "hire" an "unpaid" "intern" to spend 3 minutes uploading the new track to the deserted SP soundcloud.

EDIT: Ah okay I see. all new SP tracks go tot he WARP soundcloud... also dont know if the SP soundcloud is real.

He's one extraordinary astronaut <3

DOOODZ. JU GUYZ. DOOOOOOODZ.

Aphex Twin is in this music video!!!

Don't believe? Well let me show you the truth and secret IDM society clues that are hidden in this music video. I onri show the main one, but if you search long and hard, the truth will be revealed to you as well. Do you honestly think Tommy J could be this retarded? Do you honestly think that the Warp sellout, in early 2000's after Ned left, actually happened? WHAT IF THERE IS MORE TO DA WHOLE TINGZ?!?!?!

Here is the tip... Of the iceberg:

So anyway, I generally watch YT vidz at 2x speed, to save time and learn faster. But one point about that is-- my eyez can see at several thousand frames per second, so basically my whole life is like slow motion, but sped up. Like a soap opera that looks ultra hyperreal onto itself birrion foldz five.

Okay, so in the above quoted Squarepusher music video, I noticed something feeling very familiar at 2:26. This is what I saw coming from the top-right:

DO YOU SEE?!?!?!

For those of you with experience in looking at tracers, chromatic aberration, print registration errors, and low-res late-90's porn where you could identify a vagina within 16 pixels- it should be obvious:

You mean Squarepusher's hand?

Yes-- an image is projected on his hand. That of Arfox Twonz. If you notice, Squarepusher's form is shown primarily by what is projected onto it. Watch from 2:24 to 2:27. The hand moves downward, but the rate of projection distortion is in sync with the speed of his hands, which is why the image is most clear when the velocity is least. The point of this is to create a static image that can only be seen by flickering at high rates. Much like how frames of an animation on a wheel are just a blur, unless a light is strobed on at the proper rate. If all the frames are the same image, the blur becomes a single, clear image.

Fair enough.

You folks reckon the reflected image being projected on Squarepusher's hand (which is of whatever's on the yellow-ish screen he's looking at off camera that's reflected on his mask) is the cover art of ICBYD? Yea, you're probably right. Gonna text Tom now and ask him, just to double-check.
