...or maybe not. probably beaumont hannant?

Without a doubt. I might throw Texturology on in a minute. Can't even remember the last time I played it.

  • 6 years later...

I remember there were some really great remixes in the xltronic ae fan remix competition many years ago. In particular the acapella remix of Rae was amazing. I'm on my phone at the moment but I'll try looking for it later!

First time I hear this. Great! Is it done by the same guy(s) who did the acapella of Flim? Sounds that way.

I've done a few. None are particularly great though. There's this 30 second Megaman boss music remix of Zeiss Contarex:

http://pselodux.bandcamp.com/track/zeiss-contarex

and a super-sloppy post-rock cover of the melody at the end of Parhelic Triangle that I did before I knew how to record post-rock:

I really should finish the post-rock cover of Nil that I started. That was actually kinda ok.

I'll just add that AE really needs to release a compilation with ALL of their remixes. I can't remember one that is not good. They're all their best!

Name one that sucks. That'd be a real challenge.

Oh, then you haven't heard their remix of Killing Game by Skinny Puppy. It sucks, it was even admitted by Sean to be a piss take.

Honestly disappoints me as I love Skinny Puppy. For my favourite artist to remix my second favourite would have been a dream!

Also in reply to the actual thread question, I don't know any remixes of AE that are much cop. How could you remix ae and make it better? lol im a fag

Beat me to it with the 'Killing Game' remix, though it's great for a laugh... At least it was an actual remix and not a subtle re-EQing like the Earth 'remix' from 2005. Seriously, am I missing something here, or is this the ultimate piss take of a remix?
