i'm so old and jaded i get excited by the thought of hearing old music (ie the sc cheetah stuff) in higher resolution.

soon i probably spend ridiculous money on high-end speaker cables.

I don't think the cheetah stuff is that old.

Lol, I initially thought it was marble then looked closer and 'thought I realized' it was carpet. When I was right the first time.

Look, it's simple, I flattened the crease and took a pic of it on another surface.

Then the dog ate it.

So I stitched it back together.

And took that next pic. (eww)

Then I decided it was high time to start posting in short sentence paragraphs. I should probably mention my previous post was a 0 out of 10 in the serious department.... but this one OH NO. This one's a 10/10. All those things just mentioned actually happened.

I seem to be missing a lot of things, are people seeing a tracklist? I can't seem to read this thread properly.

Btw, what's the problem with releasing those 2 cheetah tracks plus some others? Why is that considered old?

People are basically just guessing. I mean, it's fair to think that it will be a mix of "old" and new. Most likley, we're going to get the two released Cheetah tracks mastered then a few unheard tracks. I don't see anything wrong with this, honestly.

While waiting for the record watch this little documentary on the guys that designed the Cheetah range and how they made their first product, the Spec-Drum which interfaced with your ZX Spectrum.

Ivan, I imagine cheetah 3 or 7 may at least be on the EP, and obviously probably 4/5 other tracks. I also imagine they're not all cheetah tracks, in that they have cheetah in the name. Though I imagine a cheetah is used on all of them. He seems to like 8 track EPs so.. :)

Also, love that this is releasing under Aphex Twin ( I think ). It says a lot about how he feels about these tracks and what we can expect! Also, this has an aesthetic applied to it, kind of like Syro, but with a more retro vibe. It will be good times :)

This EP might house those 2 newly finished Syro tracks he said something a few weeks ago! This release is one of the best candidates for them to be on.

Well we won't know till its out will we? I don't see why a mastered cheetah 3 or 7 is out of the question :P

Anything anyone is saying is pure speculation at the point.

Well, he DID comment about the EP on the Soundvomit track. I'm about 99% sure that the two original tracks will be on the EP in mastered form.

I'm also with Brisbot on the 8 track EP bit. Took the words right out of my mouth

Track speculation?

judging by the cover is gonna b a massive troll of some kind, I'm hoping new smojpahce-esce material (that or the new age of dustbin-core)

edit: no but srs, my guess is the cheetah trax already released + some new stuff + the gear-related imminence jy mentioned

Loving the sound it produces, so cheesy. It would be fun to have one of those plus a couple other old synths.

My body is ready to pounced on by the AFX Cheetah. Holy shit Im so ready. This release looks/seems like its going to be super fun. That cover art is phenomenol--ive actually been dreaming about something weird and conceptual like this from rdj for so long now. Reminds me a bit of the Ventolin video in the way it showcases an imagined product. Also getting Mike & Rich vibes here...

Im betting it's going to be ALL new material, and all either super funky, super weird, and/or super next level
