That 'hoover' like synth makes me want to do bad things to my ears, as does that bass-guitar synth thing. Eeek that's not good ... Warp really should take a bit more care with their whois stuff if they want it to remain a mystery - https://who.is/whois/https://kaossedgeofficial.com

Perhaps those tracks are the raw material that gets messed up for the album proper? Either way, a few bonus tracks is OK with me.

usually this would be very abnormal (for an artist to show sketch/unfinished versions of a track right before album release) but in this case it seems plausible since Kaoss Edge is supposed to be the 'inspiration' for 0pn

Fm Apparitions is a total mindfck the comparison with mortal kombat industrial stuff is very good Ehrlichman.

and pls guys try to not compare G.O.D with his earlier stuff cause its not even 1% similiar.

so actually opn invented an imaginery genre that could have existed in the 90´s.
nice concept !

I'm into it. OPN getting raw is going to be weird and enjoyable.

I love the OPN interview and R+7 review on the KAOSSED blog, the adolescent pictures of him set the tone for this shit lol. All the livejournal style posts are cringy and accurate.

Also, is it just me, or does he look a lot like Charlie Day in the promo pic they've been using?

Found on the Konfrontation Records soundcloud :

"OFFICIAL SOUNDCLOUD OF KONFRONTATION RECS, THIS IS OUR RECORD LABEL. HOME TO KAOSS EDGE, ANASTASIA, EZZROJAMS AND MORE".

LOL @ Ezzrojams, would be an awesome follow up to Eccojams !

Is FM Apparitions not working for anyone else?

You can probably try soundcloud

new track, seems it's the poem that was on the opn website earlier

And I just realized that poem is probably inspired by that one philosophy pdf book thats linked somewhere on the site:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powers_of_Horror

Powers of Horror: An Essay on Abjection (French: Pouvoirs de l'horreur. Essai sur l'abjection) is an 1980 book by Julia Kristeva, an extensive treatise on the subject of abjection. Starting with the theories of Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan, Kristeva examines horror, marginalization, castration, the phallic signifier, the "I/Not I" dichotomy, the Oedipal complex, exile, and other concepts appropriate to feminist criticism and queer theory.

According to Kristeva, the abject refers to the human reaction (horror, vomit) to a threatened breakdown in meaning caused by the loss of the distinction between subject and object or between self and other. The primary example for what causes such a reaction is the corpse (which traumatically reminds us of our own materiality); however, other items can elicit the same reaction: the open wound, shit, sewage, even the skin that forms on the surface of warm milk.

Maybe all the Kaoss Edge lyrics are about that
