malaria Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 This is really hitting the spot. Perfect album for autumn (like all of Liz's material, IMO). Took a bit to warm up to and to grasp some of the more droney/noise-rock bits, but now I can't stop listening. Have to say though that if Liz wasn't in Helen, I probably would not have spun this enough in order for it to click. I'm glad I did though, and that just tells me to adjust my own listening habits I guess. Favorite track so far is probably "City Breathing". Some of the vocal parts also sound a lot like "Leaving" from Luxury Problems to me, which is a very good thing. Throw this on the next time you're walking on a wet, breezy autumn day.
