Wow, I just dusted this off recently myself. Yes, it's so fucking good. It was the first real electronic album I ever explored. No wonder I turned into a nerd. It's shocking how well this has aged. What inspired him to do this? I mean before this was... Satyricon? This thing is like a lightning bolt.

I'm still trying to figure out all the lyrics...

Play Twice Before Listening

I think its a vocoder. He's got a big vintage modular.

He does use a vocoder but that's usually a mic right? This was a tube in his mouth so probly talk box. I wish he still did more vocal tracks.

Oh yeah that'd be a talkbox.

I like to think of the vibe this album as either:

- Being a paranoidal schizophrenic with command hallucinations and being convinced you have psychic powers and the government is out to get you because of it

- Actually having psychic powers but having such intense awareness that you are either driven mad by it or everyone thinks you're crazy and won't listen to you

- Being so high that you live both of the above lifetimes all the way through

it's great music to read the Pizzagate thread to, I'll say that.

That and US Presidential Election Campaign

I spy with my little eye

A problem which in time will intensify

The government knows your name

So you can rest assured things'll never be the same

A phone call in the middle of the night

Might bring bad news when it's your fuckin' views

Which are getting abused

...(stuff I still can't deciper)...

Everybody's got a dark side

Everybody's got something to hide

I'm qualified

Purified

Vanishing people

Vanishing truths, like specimens

There's more than meets the eye

Just biked in (armed to the teeth) to say I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this album over the past few weeks.  Esp. the 2nd disc which is a real trip.  As a gen-y-er there are defiantly some chilling side FX afoot when making its acquaintance some 20-years on.

Oh and this is my fucking jam
