I don't know how to feel about this all. Why is this happening. Why is the Pentagon, of all agencies, releasing (old) footage of unknown flying objects? Why are credible newspapers like the NYT and the Wash Post reporting on this in-depth? And why doesn't it get more attention? I mean, this sort of confirms the existence of physics-defying, highly advanced crafts, why isn't this bigger? Very confusing.

Because nothing shown is proof of anything at all, except that there's an unidentified thing that happened. Could be a physical object skewing sensors, could be an actual craft capable of doing what it seems, could be fucked up machinery, could be dozens of things.

The reporters are reporting the facts, the facts lead to nothing, though. Some disparate facts and a shit ton of strange experiences, even from credible and professional people, does not mean much without explanation and tangible, undeniable answers. People have been asking questions and sharing experiences for decades (if not hundreds/thousands of years) and there's still nothing beyond the blurry photos, the odd video that seems real but doesn't show anything, and lots of people swearing by an experience that no one else can back up.

I love that there's some amount of light being shed on these topics and the world's governments are becoming a touch more okay with discussing it all in public, but really there's no proof of anything. Ever. Nothing. There's lots of things without explanation, but they all just lead to more questions. Not a one ever has been an answer.

You raise some good points. Of course it could be nothing and everything. What I don't understand, however, is why governments are suddenly cool and open about these "encounters", while all they had to offer as an explanation until a few years ago was swamp gas and misinterpreted star constellations. Why are they now declassifying year old footage? Why are credible eyewitnesses now coming forth to comment? Why are established non-tabloid papers now reporting on this while they avoided fringe shit like the plague?

This is so surreal, it almost feels like a dream.

I also wouldn't compare this to blurry photos, I mean, they used some of the best sensor technology available. Also weird that they mentioned a fleet of those things, and that they observed them for two weeks until sending jets there.

i think "governments" release those videos from time to time to distract people, just imagine how much time & focus people lose of analyzing those dumb video which in most cases its something military thats being tested or a weather phenomenon.

The CIA used to plant UFO stories in newspapers to cover up their U-2 program. Wouldn't be surprised if this is a hoax along those lines, given that we're knee-deep in Cold War II.

But then again, the spray-tanned turd is enough of a distraction for people and most don't give a shit about flying saucers.

Im going with Bob Lazar. They are slowly leaking this stuff to the public as to not create mass hysteria. Just like they said it would do back in 1979.

I believe in Bob Lazar

i've watch the crackpot UFO docs on netflix. it's a minor addiction and a lot of them are hilarious. they're not ancient aliens type hilarious but still fun.

the stan romaneck story is amazing. so damn funny. he has all kinds of 'footage' of aliens spying on him and recorded phonecalls and at the end there's a big 'twist' which made me lol.

Jacques Vallet's appoach is pretty cool. i think he says something like, regardless of physical reality, there is a phenomenon of sightings being reported. he deals with data in a professional way, he did this work for governments, and seems to evince good skepticism, as far as i know. he finds parallels among sightings data and suggests that it may be not purely physical in nature, the way we think of physical, mechanical things. like, a ufo maybe choses to take the form of a ufo, and the perception of the phenomenon may be intended.

hehe

yeah I have the same issue. Love the explanation about how the ancient pyramids are actually a re-charging station for aliens. I also love their use of language in those documentaries. They never explicitly state anything as fact and will instead use a question that suggests something could be a fact (such as the pyramids) and then go off on a thirty minute tangent about their suggestion, where they ask more questions and then answer those questions with more questions. And you end up in like 4 or 5 questions deep where you realize what they are talking about is based on assumptions built on more assumptions.

it's great. i think i've seen just about every episode and some of them are just classic.. bigfoot is an interdimensional being who travels on bursts of light, pumapunku.. all those places.. i mean.. those "theorists" are all living in a different reality. it's fascinating.

you should watch the stan romanek story.  it's fucking hilarious. then the end.. is the big twist and i think i yelled out "OF COURSE!"

there's also "patient 17" and another one called "unacknowledged" that's pretty good. there's probably 10 or so that are older that are just absurd and unentertaining that i've had on in the background.  forgetable. not that many have the pizzazz of the more recent stuff..

Turns out he’s a pedophile.

No, really.

On August 8, 2017, Romanek was found guilty of felony possession of child pornography.[6] On December 14, 2017, he was sentenced to serve two years in a community corrections facility. He is now a registered sex offender in the level 3 program for severe deniers. He is unable to use computers unmonitored or contact children under 18, without special approval.[7][8]

you ruined the surprise.

i was trying not to let that out because it makes watching the doc even more incredible when you get to the end and it comes out and he's arrested. i had no idea and i'm watching this doc laughing at all the bullshit then the end comes and of course he's a fucking pedo!  it's the capper.

so much hokey bullshit in the documentary. the phonecalls and the little aliens peaking in on his house. i's a riot.

it's an interesting channel. the vids about "is reality real" and "free will" are both interesting as well. but the aliens one is classic. the song is great.. "What's with all the anal probes?"

There's a recent(ish) Bob Lazar documentary out (Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers). It's pretty compelling tbh, think I believe him.

Was thinking about watching this with my buddy, we're both into this stuff.

Worth watching then eh

Oh shit, I didn’t even know they revealed that at the end. I didn’t bother watching all of it. I think I stopped shortly after he greeted the alien in his kitchen.

Lazar is still one of more plausible and intriguing figures in UFOlogy to me now, even after all of these decades. He's story has always fit the same synopsis as the very few and now very old engineers / scientists who have been able to slowly reveal formerly classified info about Area 51/Groom Lake military projects like the U-2, SR-71, Captured MiG testing, etc. I.e. his work was compartmentalized, his record and entire personal existence legally is in the hands of the government, etc.

That said came across this recently.

Gianna Michael's of Pornhub fame actually came out in 2001 on the Stern show and said she had met Bob at a UFO convention in Vegas same time as the A.V.N awards and she seduced him to come back to her room and tell her his story in person 1 on 1. She said that he had a really bizarre shaped penis that was shockingly curved to the left that was impossible to have sex with and he was incredibly embarrassed by it .... She went on to say that she gave him a handjob and he came all over her stomach and it burnt like acid. Bob left the room immediately without telling his story and Gianna still to this day thinks he is part Alien .
