Thanks to Salvatorin and th555 the long glacial track has been identified, for people still wondering: https://ailanthusrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/--2

(#7)

Link doesn't work for me. That was funny when everyone thought it was Ae and then there was doubt and then everyone liked the track anyway.

Oh, botched up the link I guess. Remove the last space in the url ( https://ailanthusrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/--2 )

This elseq 1-5 thing is really messing up the Twelb count

If these are considered to be EPs, we haven't even reached Twelb yet :psyduck:

I wouldn't try to categorize it as an album or an EP... those tags were imposed by the physicality of the medium, and now that digital distribution got rid of that, the tags should go too. Just call it a release, I dunno.

or just call it a record

Cheers Herr. Spaniard, the new Ae is going in my music library as a series EP's, same as Analord's. It's fairly obvious they're EP's.

thanks! and what was the track after that then?

unfortunately, I can't tell you unless I go into our audio logs and try to guess what the track is, as our automation system experienced some serious fuck-ups yesterday. sorry

Actually this seems to be an LP and not a series of EPs because the catalogue number is WARP512. LPs always have WARPxxx, but EPs are usually WAP or something different.

The CAT numbers are actually WARP5121-5125 are they not? That's how they are showing on my download.

Yeah they are, but each one starts with WARP, which indicates LP afaik.

I think the warp cat's are usually WARPLPxxx these days. Though you're right usually EPS are WAP.

So the AE releases seem to be somewhere in the middle to me?

Someone better versed in warp records lore will clue us in I'm sure.

It would suck to be Plaid at the minute, probably.

lol but I think there is a lot of Plaid fans that cannot digest the post-LP5 Autechre so I think they'll get their share.

Oh, it was 2814? That would explain why it was great then. :)

Not as though it matters but pitchfork and the like are referring to this as an album but in 5 parts

To me its 5 eps but it's really pretty irrelevant what you call it.. we all know its just a Record! :)

Do you have a record of pitchfork calling it an album and not a record?
