iZotope Trash 2 (distortion plug in) currently has 70% off and can be bought for €27 (RRP €91).  My friend was using it last night and considering the options, it's a pretty sweet deal.  Although I can imagine every cunt in the world would use it for that aggressive dubstep, I think the options available make it incredibly versatile in the right hands.

It's not just a tremolo. It's the best tremolo plugin there is. Everyone should buy the Soundtoys plugins.

I just signed into my NI account and I'm not sure if this was the regular price or not but I got a notification that said that the Ultimate 11 upgrade was $199? Anyway, I bought it and it was cheaper than buying Reaktor 6 and Form separately

Oddly for me it listed the upgrade as £89 and the full version as £84.50 so ...... I'm a new owner of Reaktor, damn it why am I always suckered into these things !

It's usually $199 and it's now down to $99. I don't think it'll get any cheaper than that

I haven't used it since version 3 but I remember liking it.  Back then it was very much a, shall we say, homage to the KYma system but you didn't need to blow like $8000 on proprietary hardware to run it, which was very cool.  I bet it's way better now.

Hoping that it's possible to install it off-line, the web site's not very clear about that and my music workstation is not going to be connected to the internet ever, so I might be stuck using it on my rapidly aging laptop and just piping the audio out over SPDIF or something.  If I use it a lot maybe I'll build a little miniITX computer and dedicate that to it, treat it like a hardware synth.

For an idiot like me the 'blocks' objects of v6 is going to be great - I know the basics of synth bits (VCA,VCO,VCF etc. etc.) but not sure (at the moment) how they relate to the Reaktor modules, the higher-level blocks means that (at the moment) I don't have to

Plus it seems to load so much faster than Max. Max takes 42secs on my machine to boot up and load a blank patch, Rektor is ready to go in less than 10 seconds

Yeah, the whole Block thing seems a lot more approachable... but I'm not sure i have the patience for it.

Of course NI gave me an invalid serial number.  DRM can never actually be easy, can it?

I didn't need the serial at all, just download their download manager and log in and it'll be in your account to download and install

I was installing it on an offline computer.

A full uninstall and reinstall fixed it, who knows what happened before.  Working great now!

Also completely unrecognizable compared to the old versions I've used, but looks like a better interface once I get used to it.

25/11/2016 Reaktor 6 buddies! Was looking to buy around a month ago but held off as I was told they usually have sales events throughout the year. Glad I did!

Yeah, I like Usine but this was only about $30 more than getting another year license and it doesn't look like VST authoring is going to be added back in any time soon, which is a big part of why I bought it to begin with, so Reakor just makes more sense now, I can always update Usine later.
