Yep that's right. At least you've got three releases to catch up on, should keep your ears busy for a while.

This is a welcome relief after the disappointing (imho) Pye Corner Audio and feels like a much more complete, confident and well-paced follow up to Chrome Position. Some great tracks. Welcome back to 1987.

God I love it when I find out about a new album from a beloved artist the day of its release. Great stuff!!

All VHS Head fans would be well pleased with this.

Not me sadly. This pales in comparison to VHS Head. Believe me I wish it didn't, but it's just bland in comparison.

I love it. It's got the melodies, aching nostalgia and haunting atmospherics that can be found on Persistence Of Vision and Trademark Ribbons Of Gold. What it doesn't have is the the really hard, abrasive cut-up stuff - which I don't care for.

Phono Ghosts returns with ‘Photons in Fashion’ featuring eight new tracks of intricately spliced tape samples, continuing the psychedelic eclectic sound that marked out his previous releases on Fonolith (Solar Dream Reel) and Skam (Chrome Position).

Over 30 minutes, ‘Photons in Fashion’ careers between the forceful ‘80s digi-funk blast of ‘Cassential’, space-lounge groove of ‘Binary Dynamics’ and hypnotic disco of the title track; progressing through to the brooding ‘Dramakai’ and slinky fretless bass of ‘Observatory of the Soul’, interspersed with dream-like fragmentary interludes, before closing out with the idiosyncratic synth bleeping of ‘Hear Me Read My Genetic Chirpy Chip’.

This release supposedly comes from Neil Scriven, close friend of fellow nostalgic samplist VHS Head. I'm becoming a big fan of the sound the Blackpool boys are creating. The release date says 2010, but I definitely haven't crossed this before in my travels so maybe it has only been posted recently...
