I've loosely been following what's up with Corey Feldman for the past few years, and one thing I noticed about his music is that it's never been purely bad.  It's just that he doesn't have much musical talent.  So it's fucked up.  Because if he spent his formative years in the proverbial basement like a lot of WATMMers- honing skillz and trying to push skillz to the next level- then his music would be dope, cuz he basically has a good heart.  But without that sizzle, his music is kind of sad.  It's to the point where I don't even choose to have a real opinion on it all.

The positive to all this is that if for some reason I start hanging out with Corey Feldman, I can produce a hit track for him; kind of as thanks for his performance in The Goonies.  Or the real positive to all this is-- at least he is being positive.  Can't give people shit for that, regardless of their skill level in anything.

He should rebrand as an ambient techno outfit produced by Thomas fehlmann. It can be called the Corb by Fehlmann n' Feldman

Their debut album can be called Felled Man.
With remixes by Mark Fell

...and Mark E. Smith of The Fall.

I don't have a cool name pun. Just wanted to make the observation that he's still quite slim and that is an achievement in and of itself. Way to go cory.

It's funny peace, i had the same philanthropic thought, that i'd like to clean up his compositions and pull the best out of them for him. heheh. We're a sucker for a nerd in need.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not out to attack this guy. delet... you asked about my views on the women involved. Obviously, I'm no puritanical person, and I don't have conservative leanings on these things. It's just that by his own admission he takes in these women who have 'lost their way'. Is a person in that position not compromised? If they are compromised psychologically, are they not vulnerable? If one is vulnerable in this way, can we really expect them to be fully responsible for their decisions, are they really fully in control of their lives? If I were compromised emotionally, would I be embarrased of wearing some pathetic angel outfit once I recovered and in a more stable state of mind? Yes. I would. Oh, and are some outfits that people are compelled to wear (for a variety of reasons) demeaning and degrading? Yes. Those guys who wear chicken outfits to attract attention to the gold-buying stores are degrading themselves. There's no dignity in that. Can people happily agree to do things or wear things that undermine their dignity, even if they aren't aware of it? I contend that they can.

You do realize these women are probably escorts/groupies that are getting some sort of compensation for having to hang out with Feldman, right? I mean, who would WILLINGLY hook their wagon to Corey Feldman?

Let's see Corey cry over the reaction to his Today Show performance:

who marries prison inmates on death row?  who makes a butt sex tape with a pron star after being on a "16 and pregnant" reality show? who has 8 babies at once and gets a reality show then makes a sex tape?

people hitch their wagons to anything and everything. i'm not surprised at all. wouldn't be surprised if all the corey's angels get a paycheck every two weeks and follow strict rules and have a ass licking quota to meet every week.. wouldn't be surprised if they're all strippers who make rounds at corey's place to get their picture taken for C list celebrity magazine/blog or something. or they're there to hang out and see what happens.. maybe they meet some celebrity one rung up the ladder or get pregnant by a pro athlete or rich producer they can then milk for cash..

who knows.. not realiy surprised by any of it. people are possible of terrible things.. delusions .. squirrel brained decision making etc..

I wonder how he's still got money, does he come from money so has a trust fund, or is he perhaps being paid to keep quiet by people with a enough money that keeping this guy in designer hoodies and mid-sized mansions is the same as buying a snickers bar would be for us.

But those guys don't live an a bloody great house which would require many thousands of dollar per month in utility bills let alone rent (if he's renting), to be able to keep going. I can't imagine that he has any income streams, certainly not from the music, that's why i speculated about how he was funding his existence.

He was in The Goonies, Lost Boys, Stand By Me, etc.- plus dozens of indie-esque and direct-to-video films since then (and he's also done many interviews, which he probably requests money for doing).  He was a child star for awhile (still cool in the mid 90's) and probably had a lot of celebrity friends who've helped him out over the years.  Plus, he has fans.  If Venetian Snares can come out of nowhere and ask for purchases and then live off that money, Corey Feldman definitely can, especially considering that people who know of Corey Feldman greatly outnumber people who know Venetian Snares.

I wondered that too... from the fact he charges access to his "parties" (although nobody shows up), and he appears to live out of rented (albeit nice) McMansions in the Hollywood hills, I wonder where his income is derived from. Surely the royalties from his 80's stardom have dried up (and AFAIK he has nothing in syndication that would be bringing in residuals)...

Perhaps he or his accountant(s) are really good at investing his money?

Those "angels" probably aren't cheap though (despite looking as such)...
