The one red cable in front center isn't even fucking connected to anything. And the embarrassment on these men's faces is plain as day. We truly have a god damn toddler running the show.

Interesting take on the meaning of the vote in the House.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/what-we-learned-from-the-first-house-vote-on-impeachment/

Quote

Simply put, it’s a good bet that not much will change no matter what happens in the hearings. That’s both because Americans’ views on the president are very partisan (basically Republicans almost universally support him but a majority of country does not), and because many of the most damning details about President Trump and his administration’s dealings with Ukraine have probably already come out in the last month. The resolution on Thursday passed 232-196, with two Democrats and no Republicans breaking ranks, and it’s just hard to imagine many members switching sides.

...

Now that everyone knows that the impeachment process in the House is likely to end with a party-line vote that the Democrats win, the hearings aren’t really designed to affect the votes of members. They are really a performance for the press and the public. So I would not expect a sober, somber process.

The irony will be that the GOP will say it is just a political stunt for the coming elections. And the reality is that's true. Although it's true because of the GOP making it purely about their own seats. And therefore the elections. (remember the rule that the GOP criticisms always tend to be reflections in their mirrors)

meaning

a bit sloppy that quote, no? It writes about approval ratings and impeachment proceedings in the same sentence. I would guess that just because people 'disapprove' of the president (whatever that even means, and depending on how the questions are phrased in the polls which determine 'approval') does not necessarily mean that they would support impeachment.

It's weird that no one is looking directly into the camera here. Either just off the side or above it.

Maybe they're all looking at different cameras.

... Televangelist Paula White, President Trump's spiritual adviser, is reportedly joining the White House staff... Her specific role will reportedly be advising the Trump administration's Faith and Opportunity Initiative that aims to boost the voice of religious groups in certain government programs...

"demonic networks" have aligned themselves against Trump and vowing that the president "will overcome every strategy from hell and every strategy fro the enemy”

So much for separation of church and state. The GOP are in full cult mode now.

If this nutjob gets reelected (or anyone of his party) the end has come. But somehow I'm very optimistic regarding the upcoming elections. I think the Republicans surpassed a degree of insanity that the American people will no longer accept (at least most).
