Now That Trump's President... (not any more!)

Wouldn’t it be great if the secret service was all “hey mr president. We gotta get you down to ‘the bunker’ to keep you safe from protesters” and then when they got him down there they locked the door and it was full of alligators?

For Trump to be in a bunker with the lights out like no one is home after a bunch of people who didn't even have guns went buck wild, I gotta say I am a little impressed. I am watching with something approaching a cautious optimism at this point. I just don't like people's property getting destroyed because that's innocent people's livelihoods right there and if no one cares about innocent people's lives being fucked with, what are we doing really? It's easy to say "if you want to make an omelet, you gotta break some eggs" when they aren't your eggs... during a pandemic.

But this buck wild shit is no poser shit and on some level I do respect it.

First they came for the Communists

And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

here they dox Nazis and tip off law enforcement. they step in throw down with Neo-Nazis and KKK and Proud Boys when those thugs show up to intimidate protesters. they run local mutual aid groups and other community outreach programs

they vary from region to region and country to country b/c it's decentralized (it's anarchist driven after all) - there's no rank and file, payroll, offices, etc. i'll take dumb street fighters fucking up properties over mass shooters targeting anyone who isn't white or right-wingers.

the "united" part of "united states of america" doesn't apply, per donnie. maybe we should just rename it "states of america."

nice pep talk below by the head coach of the losing team:

Quote
"You have to dominate or you'll look like a bunch of jerks, you have to arrest and try people," the President told the governors in a call from the basement White House Situation Room, according to an audio recording of the call obtained by CNN.
In the conversation, Trump appeared angry and chastised what he characterized as a weak response to protests in certain places, which he said allowed violence to take hold. Trump emphasized his belief the violence is being fomented by forces from the "radical left."
And he suggested to governors it was their responsibility, not his, to tamp down harshly on the continued unrest.
"It's a movement, if you don't put it down it will get worse and worse," Trump said. "The only time its successful is when you're weak and most of you are weak."

Trump said the "whole world was laughing at Minneapolis over the police station getting burned," referring to the city where protests began last week after the death of an unarmed black man who was being taken into police custody.
In a back-and-forth with Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Trump said the state was "a laughingstock all over the world" for not responding harshly enough during a first evening of protests.
"So bad a few nights ago that the people wouldn't have minded an occupying force," Trump said. "I wish we had an occupying force in there.

On the phone call, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker told Trump the nation was craving a steady hand from the top.
"Rhetoric coming out of the White House is making it worse, people are experiencing real pain," Pritzker, a Democrat, told the President. "We've got to have national leadership calling for calm and legitimate concern for protestors."
"I don't like your rhetoric that much either," Trump fired back. "You could have done much better on coronavirus."

2A patriots are on the ready to come out of vacation mode too. they're just waiting for orders

What a dipshit. He clearly hasn't reality-checked his action movie fantasies against the instances where protestors were threatened with weapons and responded by beating the shit out of the antagonists. It's not just the right-wingers that have guns, either. Also someone relaxing the couch after work is a lot less scary than someone who's justifiably enraged at being abandoned by the social contract.

Yes, here too. Antifa people have done some amazing things in terms of reporting right-wing terrorists to law enforcement, debunking whole clans of those fuckers, possibly saved lives. It's a big sub culture here too, with lots of different people. Dumb ones, smart ones, fake ones, authentic ones, etc., usually open minded kids, but lots of nutters as well. Autechre played in a venue in Leipzig that's typically a leftist/antifa venue, was a great show

I hate the fact that every time he blames everyone else, that stupid '90s rap song "ain't my fault" pops into my head
