Do you recall if there's a marked difference in the loudness of the original ICBYD pressing compared to the reissue?  Just curious, I have the Warp reissue and find it to be a bit  on the quiet side.

Not from memory. I've hammered the original and generally use that copy for mixing. The reissue goes on if I'm sticking the whole album on for a spin.

I got the reissue of ICBYD and find it quiet, though I don't have the original to compare it to.

 

I do recall having to jack up the volume a touch to get to normal listening levels. It didn't really bother me though, quality was fine.

As a side note though, is EQing usually the norm? it seems every record sounds like shit if I don't boost the highs and lows a little bit. I have a Concorde Pro S needle which is fairly decent as I understand but maybe It's something else.

I'd be nice if I could get some help from some of you vinyl pros here.
