Thiefinger
I finally got started with a new project. I just basically try to replicate some of the nice sounds of early 90's jungle/hardcore/breakbeat without too much stress on being original or whatever. I just like that sort of stuff really much and it's interesting to try making something similary myself. I don't know what this is but i like how it soundshttps://soundcloud.com/marpajungle/your-fleshtwo other choons: https://soundcloud.com/marpajungle/jupiter-slamhttps://soundcloud.com/marpajungle/imitated
Auditor
I'm a fan of this sound too. Your Flesh is gritty and makes me feel sick in a really good way. It might could use a bit of truncating, but I dig it. Jupiter Slam is a banger. I love it. Imitated doesn't grab me as much. I think I recognize the break from a slew of other tunes and that stab, while gelling with the song well, just isn't really my cup of tea. As far as capturing the early 90's sound, you've done well sir.
mrfauxe
I love the grit. Love Jupiter Slam. You running through a drum machine or just picking the right samples/loops? If 'your flesh' had some kind of lead, pad, chord I'd be into it.
Squee
Yeah, Jupiter Slam is definitely the winner. It could use some compression and EQing - unless that's part of your 90s sound ;)
Thiefinger
Thanks for your comments! I love the grit. Love Jupiter Slam. You running through a drum machine or just picking the right samples/loops? I just slice the drum loops into bits and put them on Cubase's Groove Agent. Yeah, Jupiter Slam is definitely the winner. It could use some compression and EQing - unless that's part of your 90s sound ;) Thanks. My "90's sound" could prolly use some improvements, so thanks.I've done a few more tracks of this stuff
