I understand the popularity of sprawling epics like Elseq and this new NTS thing but to me they're really just huge catalogues of demos. That's great for obsessive fans but for casual listeners they would be better served with focused, carefully made album. I actually thought this when elseq came out and was planning on making my own 2CD 'best of' version but there ended up so good much material that I thought fuck it let's just keep the whole lot.
