Anyone else wish 12 Rough Beat Tune from the SC dump would get a full master? Any idea where to place that in his discog?

Oh I'd love that, my favorite track from the whole SC I think. To me it sounds in the same vein as Acrid Avid Jam Shred, maybe a little newer.

Yep, one of my favorites hands down. Easily in top5.

Yes! Probably Ventolin or ICBYD

My current 'dump-to-Bleepstore' wishlist consists of Ssnb, Donkey Rhubarb Remix, Tamclap, 70s Tune, Bradley Echoes, elb2, Cornish Spreek and the Cottage tunes. Of course there are many more, but these should be priority ;)

I think I'd put it in that same era too, ICBYD.

The SC one actually sounds pretty good all things considered.

I have 275 in iTunes and I think he mastered around 20 of them. I highly doubt he'd release all of them, especially since he's got tons of completely unreleased gems like the Tuss tracks.

Question time...

Has it been mentioned whether SAW 1.5 will be part of a SAW 85-92 reissue (4LP/2CD set) or will it be its own standalone beast?

Assuming it's the former, surely that means it'd be re-released on R&S/Apollo and wouldn't end up on the Warp-owned Bleepstore? Unless they're striking some overly complicated distribution deal as we speak?

Ok cool. I just vaguely remember RDJ saying he was "in talks with R&S" about re-releasing SAW (on his Soundcloud like 2 years ago)

Wasn't quite sure if the projects were related

edit: couldn't find that specific comment, but this was archived on the Google Doc...

there are more inc. version of the tracks that were released on saw1 that will come out on re-release one day hopefully, so saving those for that.

I don't think R&S (or any label) has 'rights' to a track until the artist agrees to feature said tracks on a release on that label. Even then, they are only paying for the exclusivity and publishing rights, the recording rights (aka Chrysalis) remain with them and the artist. So, unless those tracks were identified as 'potential' tracks for SAW 85-92's release and were scrapped (thus falling out of the scope of the publishing rights for the tracks on SAW 85-92, I don't think R&S has any say on what Richard can release on the Bleepstore.

That, and I think Richard associates the "SAW 1.5" tracks more with SAW II versus SAW 85-92.

The SAW1.5 tracks from the soundcloud playlist definitely sound more like SAW 85-92 than SAWII. Mostly tracks from the same period, as far as I can tell.

But they were all beats and stuff...

Okay, yeah, fair enough - I guess the fact that SAW 85-92 isn't called "SAW 1" made me think it was more related to 2 than 85-92. Honestly, I've never seen too many connections between SAW 85-92 and SAW II in terms of music. I mean how many tracks on 85-92 would anyone really consider "ambient"?

And SAW II does have some beat-driven tracks...
