Julie Winters - A Spark of Creativity

A few years ago, I sought out to compose a piece of very generic and incredibly bland music with generic visuals for a fake ad that advertises nothing under the Julie Winters alias (used Windows Movie Maker for the vid). The track appears on a compilation I was asked to contribute to for a strange microgenre within the vaporwave  genre called "metrosong" that uses modern day ad music with techy, optimistic visuals to create a surreal take on modern corporate branding. I plan to do more of this stuff sometime, as its fun to do an original non-sampled take on it, like with my Donovan Hikaru alias.

This is pretty cool. I'd like to hear some more stuff like this.

Thanks man, yeah it's an interesting take on modern ad music. I'm considering doing an EP or something, and will keep this thread posted if so... appreciate you checking it out :)

What I'd like to hear is more violence done to this type of music. It truly needs to be brutally ripped apart by gnashing fangs. I want to hear ukeleles and marimbas being thrown into the wood chipper.

Hahah that would be awesome, and sounds like a fun experiment. Also would be cool to do some of that ukelele / shaker / marimba stuff, but have like like really dark parts or chords that are fucked up or creepy in the middle, but only once in a while or like some creepy whispering
