I deconstructed and reconstructed a load of old trance tracks

This is absolutely fucking brilliant. Despite coming across a few artists who've supposedly been taking the commercial trance sound and doing something interesting with it recently, this is the first time it's genuinely engaged me.

I liked it too. While in the beginning the sounds were kind of too in-your-face (probably because right before I listened to an ambient-experimental thing with a totally different sound), the mix really grew on me and by the end I was sad that the music stopped. Good stuff :)

sweet idea and execution, trance was my gateway into electronic music back when.. I'm curious about coming back and trying to do the same to my old tracks..

only criticism is that I don't hear that staple breakdown-bridge-buildup thing that to me was (and is!) the most interesting part of ol trance
