When I was listening to Iron Maiden, my interest in synth music was almost zero! and almost a decade away (though I did love my dads copies of Oxygene and Equinoxe, which was the prelude for me getting into IDM in the future) Number of the Beast was a big album and especially Live After Death but Number of the Beast seems a bit cheesy nowadays, whereas 7th Son seems to of aged quite well.

(That^^^^ seems like a well nerdy post lol, but true)

This forum seems like just the place for nerdy music posts. :mu-ziq:

My latest compact disc purchases are

Sisters of Mercy - Some Girls Wander By Mistake (slipcase and postcards whoo! whoo!)

Slayer - Haunting the Chapel (US Import)

Joy Division - Best Of (ahh yes I hear you snort with disapproval of the blasphemy of a 'best of' compilation, but if you buy the double cd version the second cd comes with all 8 tracks they recorded for John Peel, and the Peel Session cd is about £25, this cd cost me £6 brand-new from Amazon. And the first disc is wall to wall classics, so every one is a winner)

One of my favorite releases of recent times! Their “City Pop” comp is also quite awesome!!

Cool! If you like those, make sure to listen to Emperor Tomato Ketchup and Dots & Loops as well. Peak Stereolab IMO (along with Refried Ectoplasm). Dots & Loops is co-produced by Mouse on Mars and probably their most "electronic" album, FWIW.
