i just posted randomly in this thread rather than another or starting a new one cos it said 'quarry' and i've been drinking pussers rum all night....

well i was in a quarry tonight but there was no boc..

full non-exciting story follows at laboriously drunken length: i went to see what was up in the city cafe (pretty late, about 8-9ish, there cos some folk posted on that wiki thingy they were going to meet up there) but there was only one guy who was there for the boc madness ( i didn't exactly ask anyone if they were there for the boc stuff, just sat and had a pint with a mate and waited to see what unfolded, he came and asked us )

he seemed a non-mental and friendly chap and was there by himself so we had a wee pint + blether and shortly went off to get supplies with him and consider retardedly heading down to the alledged coords. sometime around here i think we checked back on the forums shite and everyone seemed sure that the boc thing was in gairloch and the folk out by leadburn found nothing afaik (this guy had a number for someone out there) but a fair few had met up around the place and were hanging out or something sooooo - for us it meant the non-plans thrown out and new plans in their place! -

we then headed to a regular old edinburgh quarry party for the sat night fun.

party was not bad, fairly busy even before club kicking out time and a surprisingly decent mix of tunes, hung out for a bit there.

thanks to our earlier supply shopping we were in possesion of a wee disposable bbq and stuff so it made for a quality breakfast a bit off from the party as the sun rose facing out to the braid (and pentland!OMG! etc.) hills with an AMAZING view out over the hermitage of braid and all that in the morning mist (mild boc relevance: we saw no moon, red or otherwise, all night, probably due to the mistiness).

uhhh and after a fine mix of tennents, rum and 2 kinds of sausages and my friend very kindly taking care of the boards board gentlemens quarters for the night (they left at uhh, sometime before i did...) me and another mate who joined us then headed back to the previously mentioned party, met a bunch of folk i knew, barely knew and didn't know i knew and after some mild-mannered shenanigans featuring some more rum i (just barely) sidled up the road arriving here to boot the pc and see what fun i hadn't missed.

PS watmm style lol in effect at posh elderly dog walkers this morning seeing the party + the hilarious people dressed up for the edinburgh marathon or something that a bloomin' loud news helicopter appears to be going to keep me awake all day with... i swear i saw like 8 dudes who looked like jimmy savile waiting at a bus stop on the way back into town wearing big marathon numbers...

wait, you just read a big boring story about my night out because i happen to live in edinburgh just now and you have some interest in boards of canada... lol. etc.

oh yeah, uhh, this has been me, your roving reporter sort of on some sort of scene or something, uhhhh, back to you watmm!....
