His music is really accessible and therefore won't be popular on this site, but it's super mainstream EDM but he had some chart bangers from 2011 to present. His earlier stuff is a lot better I feel.

I don't know what the future holds, so it's quite possible I could accidentally stumble upon and watch some CP snuff porn.

And I still wouldn't find it as grotesque and offensive as this

We all come and go. 28 is too early. Let's hope he didn't spread the EDM disease too much. Coz it sucks that all my Youtubes, all production related stuff isvfull of EDM. It sucks that the best usable and well thought out instrument (vps avenger) has programmers rootet in the EDM scene.

EDM sucks.

EDM stinks.

EDM fans suck.

Their super hyper ultrasaws suck.

EDM producer, RIP though.

He was regularly whacked out of his mind the summer I worked at EBC in Vegas. People packed the place to see him, he’d show up late and trashed, “perform” for maybe a half hour and then bail. They kept bringing him in because he filled the club, but the kid was a mess of substance abuse problems. Always shame to see someone go out like that.

I mean, the dude stopped doing 90 minute sets for $1 million a pop because he was so deep into his addiction he couldn't keep it together for a festival set once a month. When the biggest name in big room EDM walks away at pinnacle of his popularity and earnings, you know something is seriously wrong.

Dude was an introvert and he had people surrounding him 24/7 since he was 18 years old. Of course he'd use alcohol as social lubrication and as a retreat for his headspace. The type of person he was is suited to making the good music he made, but not exactly for the lifestyle associated with it, and it broke him.

RIP.

If he hadn't had the balls to walk away when he did, he would surely have walked straight into the 27 club. But as it was, looks like he just stretched out the inevitable.

Money and drugs and fame = the real social killer

RIP.

All talented and inspirational/influential musicians/artists of all genres deserve respect and gratitude imo. Sounds like he didn't get the help he needed soon enough.
