Again something slightly different from moi. Took me essentially a few days to get nailed from start to finish. Got to use my Evolution UC-33 in the process. Again won't pre-empt it too much as I prefer you guys just to listen and all. Views appreciated as always.

The Bro - Bassline Music 1

ok we are monitoring this on self powered KRK V6

monitors in a standard studio configuration [speakers on top of the desk,me in the middle]

no subwoofer

here we go

hate the kick drum too bright

and clicky

piAno /string meody is is instantly bubblebath era which is good

i don't know if that keys/pad/string line is unique and melodic enough to hold my attention thru the whole tune

bass line???????

keys sound a tad loose in the breakdown

i like the tom overlays/fills in the intro

there was a weird acid blast towards the end

i am listening to it again

keys seem to be fighting the pads/strings for similar eq space in spots

obviosly you/we love this old skool 92ish sound

its classic

breakdown at the end is nice

the tune overall seems better and more confident towards the end

do a remix

fatten up that kick

i reckon you have a nice tune on yur hands boyeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Cheers man. Yeah havin' heard it on a phater bassier system; I can hear how the 303 is a bit low in the mix at points. Its interesting 'cause I kept checkin' it on different speakers to get a different feel. Its weird 'cause I played this tune last night and I was pretty surprised that folks were just like diggin' it.

Liking it! When the piano chords come in and the strings on top, that bit's just lovely. Agree with L13 about the kick and maybe the drum sounds general, but I'm loving the melodies and the sweet oldschool vibe I'm getting from this one.

Yeah, not really into the kick or snare - especially think the snare is too low pitched and also needs some mid and hi range EQ to bring it out in the mix. Don't like the acid, sorry, I don't think you need it really. I do like the pad, but not the riff you've used...the montonic string pad thing is really really nice, probably my favorite element of this track. I also like the piano stab, I reckon you should start this track at 2:00, the beginning bit's not needed IMO, yeah would definitely be a better place to start. Hmmmmm don't like the brass stabs (but I really don't like brassy noises whatever they're in).

So yeah, a well put together tune with lots of good elements, but unfortunately, IMO, lots of not so good elements too.

I think you've tried to do too much - too many different sounds and styles all mixed in and it doesn't really work.

Sorry man.

This is reminiscent of 808 State.....I like the synths alot(they go together quite well) and the vox samples fit in nicely with the track.....the beats go wonderfully with the rest of the track.....This makes me want to break out my 808 State tapes.....nice work Promo
