Auditory hallucination-esque moments in Ae

I know it's not a terribly popular track but deco Loc's voice mashery sounds excellent to me.

Wait... do people around here not like deco loc?

Hadn’t noticed mention of this anywhere before.

Not saying it’s the #1 track from Exai, but it’s still pretty damn great and I just assumed everyone else felt similar

what Obel said about the processed speech being in like 90% of autechre tracks

A lot of their tracks have beats as well. Some of them even have weird sounds!

the smug "ew, u need drugs to 'get' ae?" thing is so tired and obnoxious

They've literally said it's music made to listen to on drugs, inspired by listening to weird music on drugs :cat:

Who the fuck cares?

Handel's Water Musick was made to be played on a ship and to be listened from another ship.

But I shit on the face of Handel and listen to it on my stereo in my living room. I'm an anarchist.

And I listen to Autechre without drugs. Because I'm reckless.

I think that moment in Ipacial Section got mentioned in some other thread here, which is weird bc it's super hard to hear for me. I don't even have much idea of what the "conversation" sounds like, just get a vague feeling when I'm listening that something subliminal is going on...

Yes, I did mention Ipacial Section in that post. Good job finding that! However, you'll notice I didn't say I had "just recognized" the voices in it (I noticed they were there a long time ago), and was in fact talking about Pen Expers when I used that phrase!

Not being a douche but you really only just recognised the voice samples?

So if you were talking about Ipacial here, you misread my post!

edit: wow I can see how I (very unintentionally) might sound genuinely upset in this post. it was supposed to be more banter-y but oh well

Erm.. maybe someone should read back their own posts before they get aggy! :)

Sorry not sure why I was sticking my 2 penneth worth in there! But could see why the confusion..but lets all play nice! :)

To add something more on topic agree on All End as one of the best examples of this. Everytime I listen I seem to hear diff melodies that I don't think are "really" there
