any UK WATMMers strong enough to smash through those walls with a sledgehammer? Or are we gonna have to call in the 6'8" 290lb Canadian Beast Stephen G. to do it? You dudes know there are two digital download codes behind those walls right?

What is fascinating (well, barely interesting) is how quickly the flow of the thinnest scraps of information are passed around and solidified as fact. It's pretty obvious that there will always be plenty of eyes on watmm when potentially big Aphex happenings are afoot, but a lazy search on twatter will return you a flood of posts from small to large outlets all spouting the same 'fan speculation' angle - which very conveniently distances them from being wrong should their sources (ie: here) be incorrect.

If I were reporting on it, I don't know how much faith I would put in that Guardian confirmation - all that confirms is a campaign of some sort, and not necessarily a new album that so many journalists (pfft) have jumped the gun on. It would take a few minutes to debunk any of the incorrect points currently drifting around, or even doing some extra journalistic legwork and pointing out that it's a bit strange how the Warp site has been down for close to 24 hours (you can have that one for free, journo friends). But nah, let's just do the least possible and keep F5-ing watmm for the hot scoops.

It looks like a pair of ears. It would great if you stood in the middle and the album was played on a loop.

Dis boi knows what's up... there's a reason they're facing one another in the tunnel.

Yeah like that rumor about Richard's scat fetish. Not that there's anything wrong with finding feces arousing. Smear shit all over your face if you want. But it's never been 100% confirmed that that one account was Richard's. Or that it was him in the pics.

what if this is it, warp has gone forever, all warp artists cease to release music, all warp music gone from shops, spotify, youtube etc and the last bit out put was a 3d aphex logo in a tube station

Precisely, a WARPocalypse.

Perfect time for that renaissance painting containing the Aphex logo that was floating about at one point

RIP WARP

RIP APHEX

RIP AE

Hope this one has loads of next gen DSP from those eventide boxes, h8000 and dsp4000. Inspirational. Done live like squarepusher go plastic. Also wondering what kind of FM madness hes gonna come out with next. Talking about tx7, banks of tx816, dx1 polyphonic aftertouch, preenFM and stuff. Hope he does an interview on the techy side again.

Guest Chesney

NTS gig over the underground tannoy system. A packed tunnel full of nerds blocking the way for Arthur, Doris and Vera visiting the Imperial war museum.

Load of journalists are going to read this and think "yeah, all those other journalists are doing this and are fucking hacks" while doing the same themselves.

I'm talking to you, Fact employee.

Joyrex's post intrigues me and worries me a little. The suggestion that this might just slightly possibly be something else - installation, gear, etc. - is a bit disappointing as it's more than time enough for a new album.
