used to absolutely love these guys - especially around the time they released lucy ford but i haven't listened to them in ages. this packaging is just amazing to my eyeballs; might have to see if i can pony up enough dough and snag one of these just for the memories

As a Minneapolis native I'm gonna self=proclaim myself the Atmosphere expert of watmm. While I'll always have respect for Ant and Slug and what they did for the local hip-hop scene (and the entire midwest really,) his later stuff is just SO boring compared to the early days. When Life Gives You Lemons was the beginning of the downfall for me, however the Sad Clown series is some of the better stuff not released on an album.

Seven's Travels era stuff is amazing (anything up to and including You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having really), and I also highly recommend some of Slug's early  non-Atmosphere works i.e The Dynospectrum and Deep Puddle Dynamics, there's also this comp:  https://www.discogs.com/Mr-Dibbs-Atmosphere-Random-Vol-3-Sad-Clown-Bad-Dub-7/release/1359279 that serves as an awesome mixtape mixed by Mr. Dibbs of live Seven's Travel era stuff and alt-takes/b-sides and rarities from the era.

for me personally it was around god loves ugly that i began to hear things getting boring. that was also around the time i stopped listening to hiphop altogether

also- agree on deep puddle dynamics. the scarecrow speaks still makes me smile. only problem: one album? why not more?
