A quick skim of this hasn't blown my mind, but neither did DIMD when I first heard it, ended up proper growing on me though. I like how rough it sounds. Welt is the shit but so is Sunnypsyop. It was possibly the last release from industrial/EBM field I got before turning myself into 100% instrumental music. Not a conscious decision, just turned out that way. Went years before I found myself interested in stuff with vocals (old favorites and new finds). Looking back all that Bill Moseley gibberish in the album was so overhyped as was the Repo movie which came around the same time. Both of those things were just turd. Here's my faves of the year. I need a couple of more years to get into Elseq properly, then they dropped NTS and I'll admit to me it seemed like scaling the sonic version of K2. I just couldn't do it. I think I lasted 20 minutes before pulling the plug. And I haven't been back or likely to revisit in the near future. What I've heard of the Elseq series blows me away and I can't get into NTS before I wrap my head around that first. If you drop like 10 hours of music with like 20-30 minute tracks, it’s hard to be there for it. It’s like a responsibility.
