I have to say, this live set might be peak Autechre for me. Don't get me wrong, the newer stuff is phenomenal and melts my brain with its wtfuckery, but there's just something about this set.  Total futuristic b-boy bangers.  I'm so thrilled to be able to hear this is in great quality and truly hope someone will be able to recreate the whole set with all components.  Nonetheless, thanks again IOS.

word.

it's quite literally stunning. endless repeat over here. the grooves, the way everything blends together, the subtle harmonic transitions, the overall sound design (especially how elements work off each other).

its all just so ridiculously tasteful, kicking and good. and it's only 50%.

deepest gratitude to everyone involved making this a thing. what a year.

never stop ae. just dun.

For any of those interested in helping IOStream finish the replica, (in the event that nobody has both the MPC1K plus JJOS and the Nord Modular G2), I was able to extract the MPC sequences as MIDI files, using JJseq, an old abandonware PC version of JJOS. They are in the main subfolder with the .wav files, not the MAC_OSX one:

Some stuff I recorded while chasing some dead ends with software emulation:

Uncanny valley/broken version of 90101-51-1. JJseq lacks full functionality (filters, etc...)

Some of Rob's Nord patches, without proper context of correct sequencing, using the Virtual Nord. Tbqh, not even sure if this Virtual G2 has the same sonic essence as the G2 embedded firmware and DAC's. Still pretty lush sounding patches regardless, imo:

not bad

Good work Eccy

Thanks dudes; it's basically nothing compared to IOS' deep archaeological reconstruction. If I had the MPC or G2, I'd definitely be doing more.

love the bit which starts at 2:45

edit: got this from the tubes btw. didnt make it!

Oh yeah, love that part. Those MM stabs.

yeah, well. happy people with all the hardware, I guess. ;)

Could someone build a proper 8 mins track out of that part please? And put it officially online? On bandcamp I'd put in some money. :)

I know i sound like a dick cause i’ve have nothing to put on the table but what’s going on with the tempo guys

Hmm, IOS's seems pretty spot on to me. This is after me whining about the tempo on some of the initial attempts.

Talking to a few people in chat, seems like the doc's tempo recs are a bit fast.

Anyone D/L link for this version please?

These are just ripped with one of those youtube ripping sites so they're probably re encoded. sound ok to me though. also includes OF.Digital's monomachine vid.
