Recommended Posts

I bought it. Getting into arts & crafts and wanted to have a go at making one of these

Could save yourself the effort and just order something from Bleep.

Spi already beat me to the bowl gag.

But seriously.

The buyer had better turn it into a bowl for crisps

Predicting a nudge over a grand

Jesus - still nowhere near what the ABB5 went for around the time of the CWLP auction (5700.00 USD if I recall)... Amazing this can still command these kinds of prices

So can we look into crowdsourcing this like with the Caustic Window LP..?

I tried that at the time of the CWLP, but Richard/Grant weren't interested...

Thanks for asking back then, it was worth a shot!

Was one on Discogs for $500 from a NY record store a couple of years ago. I should have bought that one.

Perhaps they've changed their mind? Might be interesting to check the waters again. I'd be willing to chip in some money again.

Although, with the bleepstores open, it'd be a bit silly to not use that to distribute the digitals. Things changed with that store. But it might still be worthwhile to give it a try.

Wait... jason won the bid?

What!?

Congrats!!

Jason did not win. It *was* won by a WATMMer though who prefers to remain anon.

Yeah - I tried to convince them to do Melodies from Mars (aka CAT087) but Grant insisted Richard had 'plans' for it, and likewise for the ABB5.

It's a hell of a long trip to Mars, innit?

Huh, well that'll be nice if he does ever get around to it.  It's certainly a good reason for saying no to releasing the existing version, that he's hoping to make an even better version instead.

Based on his recent statement of '45 years', It really IS a long trip to Mars! Of course, he's semi-joking, but the reality is he's busy working on new stuff and I suppose has to be in the mood to revisit his older material.
